Haneefah Booker, LCSW is the co-founder of TRU Care NFP, and the original founder of TRU Care for Children, a non-for profit 501©3 Community Based Social Service and Licensed Child Welfare Agency  (June 1995). Ms. Booker was responsible for the development and implementation of exemplary programs to address the clinical needs of the individuals, children and families served. She worked tirelessly with the Department of Children and Family Services for 20 years to provide quality therapeutic behavior health services to underserved populations. Ms. Booker served as the Clinical Director where she supervised a staff of 40 clinicians and monitored the daily operations of the agency. Ms. Booker is now retired but maintains her license to practice in Illinois, Indiana and Michigan.

Monique Bodley is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 20 years of experience in the social service field.
As the CEO of TRU Care she has shared her vision that “Relationships Get People Well.” Her lifelong mission throughout her career has been to build strong relationships with individuals, children and families who are often in crisis. Mrs. Bodley’s career goal is to continue creating and implementing programs that help people and communities realize their own authentic power thus enabling them to gain mastery over the challenges of everyday life.

Mrs. Bodley’s positions have included Director of Social Services for Jackson Park Hospital, the Behavioral Health Manager for Ada S. McKinley Community Services, and the Clinical Director for the Jane Addams Hull House Association Independent Living Program. Mrs. Bodley received her Master of Social Work degree in May, 1999 from Loyola University in Chicago, IL.


Sha-Ronda Hatcher specializes in working with at-risk youth, underserved populations and their families. Her expertise is in developing and implementing programming inclusive of Family and Community Engagement.

She provides supervisory oversight to youth residential programs to ensure programming and state guidelines are being adhered to those youth residing within the housing facilities. This oversight included ensuring staff provide services based on Illinois Department of Children and Family Services as well as the Department of Human Services.

Ms. Hatcher is currently a Project Director at the Cook County Juvenile Temporary Detention Center (CCJTDC), where she provides oversight to over 150 juvenile residents (ages 13-21) and addressing the needs, issues and progress while they are detained. She has also developed and implemented programs for the purpose of increasing engagement between residents, their families, and their communities. Ms. Hatcher emphasis on learning the tools for success, has led her to implement and coordinate many programs for detained residents, including, BAM (Becoming A Man), Story Catchers Theatre, and Project Safe Neighborhoods. These programs increase the interaction, creativity, and self- worth of each individual resident who participates in such programs. She has worked in the juvenile justice field for over 10 years.

Ms. Hatcher possesses a Master’s Degree in Forensic Psychology and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology. For the past 20 years, she has provided clinical mental health assessment and therapeutic services to at risk youth.


Mrs. Antoinette Buford-Travis is an MSW Social Worker and her career objective has been to provide quality evidenced based services and programs to underserved populations. Mrs. Buford- Travis received her B.A in Rhetoric and Communication from the University of California, at Davis and her Master of Social Work degree from Chicago State University. She is currently employed as a Long- Term Care Program Specialist for Centene Corporation/ Aetna CVS with the responsibility of working with long term care facilities, providers, clinical staff and residents to coordinate member care.

As the Vice President of TRU Care NFP she is responsible for assisting with the creation and implementation of comprehensive plans for the design, delivery, and evaluation of all TRU Care traditional and innovative therapeutic and educational services.
